starsReaction to Baby Borrowers

Thanks to all of you who have posted your thoughts about the NBC show, The Baby Borrowers.  In addition to the blogging (verb) that has already been done here on the blog (noun), we have also gotten comments about the show on one of our websites---TheNationalCampaign.org

By no means complete, here is a flavor of some of the comments we have gotten to date from our website.  The Baby Borrowers runs for five more weeks.  Please continue to let us know what you think.

"I really enjoyed the show. As a nurse in the public health field, I strongly feel this is a topic that should be stressed more often. I was very impressed with the young men on the show. I think they showed more maturity and seriousness towards the issues at hand than the young ladies. Many young ladies today "glorify" the thought of being a mom and this show opened their eyes to the fact that motherhood is far from easy or glamorous.........all the way from the heavy, uncomfortable pregnancy belly to a screaming, crying baby. I hope this show is a success and will be repeated in the future. I am hooked on the first episode and will continue to watch to see how these young people fair."

"It's not very realistic - the houses are too nice - what teen couple with a baby can afford that?  Are teens really that clueless about babies?"

"It is unthinkable that any parent would willingly subject his or her child to potential harm, and yet that is exactly what the misguided participants in NBC's "The Baby Borrowers" have done."

"I watched with my 13yr old daughter who knows more about babies that the teens on the show. She was interested in watching the next episode."

Use robotic babies and toddlers who can cry, vomit, and scream -- all the behaviors that seem to get the big reactions. Stop using humans as props.
