starsTeen Mom 2: It's Not Just About the Trailer...

Corey_and_Leah.jpg

Maintaining relationships is hard at any age, but it's even harder to have a healthy, loving relationship when you are a teen parent. That's why I always found myself rooting for Leah and Corey--out of all the teen couples on Teen Mom 2, they are the only ones who are still together. We have seen them go through ups and downs, but it looks like the argument during this week's episode is one that they just can't get over. It was initially about buying a new trailer, but now they're doubting whether they should even be together. They both think they're trying to do what is best for their girls, but they can't agree on anything. They're barely even speaking to each other.

Leah decides to go ahead and continue looking for a new home even though Corey is against the idea of moving. Leah's parents find a trailer that they think will be good for the couple and their twin daughters. Leah desperately wants to move and decides to go ahead and buy the trailer. Soon after making this decision, Corey shares that he is not sure if he will move with Leah and the girls to the new place. Leah and Corey are clearly not on the same page and Leah begs Corey to just tell her what he wants. Corey doesn't have an answer for her and admits that he thinks they may have rushed into the marriage.

Although Leah and Corey are unique because they did get married, their struggles are shared by many cohabitating and married couples who have unplanned pregnancies. Parents of an unplanned pregnancy who reside in the same household are more likely to experience relationship conflict than parents of a planned pregnancy. After everything they went through with their daughter Ali, it looked like Leah and Corey could get through anything, but now their future together isn't looking good.

Hooray! Leah riednms me of my 12 year old son whose passion is drama (and mismatched socks LOL) and who is getting his first "big break" this week on a tv show :) He has been homeschooled for 6 years and will be through high school.
